A Chartered Accountant with extensive experience across both the public and private sectors, Rubene has built her career around governance, leadership, financial management, risk, strategy, and organisational development. She currently serves as a Governor of the KwaZulu-Natal Committee of the Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIA SA) and is also a Director at CYL Chartered Accountants. Through SSB Consulting & Advisory, Rubene is committed to creating opportunities for women to grow, lead, and participate meaningfully in the economy. Her vision extends beyond business success to creating sustainable social impact through mentorship, professional development, financial literacy, and support for women-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. A passionate advocate for the principle of paying it forward, Rubene has dedicated much of her personal and professional journey to encouraging and supporting young women entering the workplace.
