Trust score49%GrowingProfile snapshotSouth Africa, Vendor, AgricultureMy Name is Mamere Kerileng Pholoana, a dedicated farmer, agripreneur, and rural development leader, serving as the Director of Goanetse Farming, a growing agricultural enterprise focused on sustainable crop production and farmer support within the Free State Province.
Born and raised on the outskirts of Vredefort, Mamereโs passion for farming was shaped from an early age through hands-on experience alongside my grandparents. During periods of unemployment, I returned to the land, starting with backyard farming, producing vegetables that supported both my household and surrounding community. This grassroots beginning laid the foundation for what has since evolved into a formally registered and expanding farming business.
I am deeply involved in agricultural leadership and advocacy. Having served as the AFASA Lejweleputswa District Secretary, where i played a key role in coordination, stakeholder engagement, and farmer mobilisation across the district. i currently serve as the Project Coordinator for the AFASA Lejweleputswa Women Incubation Programme, an initiative aimed at empowering women farmers through training, mentorship, compliance support, and access to markets.
My work is driven by a strong commitment to food security, women empowerment, and inclusive participation in the agricultural value chain. I actively support emerging farmers by sharing knowledge, promoting cooperative development, and strengthening linkages between farmers, government programmes, and private sector opportunities.
I hold a National Certificate in Financial management form Goldfields Tvet College and a National Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Technology Management from DaVinci Business School and continues to strengthen my business acumen through further agricultural and financial studies. My long-term vision is to grow Goanetse Farming into a scalable agribusiness while contributing meaningfully to the development of resilient, women-led farming enterprises across South Africa hopefully having a seat at international imports and export tables.
